The series of events that make up the Tacoma Pride Festival will take place through the month of July. We are planning for a scaled-down, but mighty Trans Pride celebration on Friday, June 24th, 2022. We are part of every community, every neighborhood, and every family. Trans Pride Seattle is back in-person this summer After a difficult few years without in-person community spaces, we are so excited to see your (masked) faces again. We hope that this year’s celebration highlights how our community is woven into the fabric of Tacoma and our region. 2021 Tacoma Pride is an opportunity for both LGBTQIA+ visibility and to support local organizations and businesses. Each Point of Pride will offer a special promotion or activity in recognition of Tacoma Pride. We are offering a different way for partners to participate in Tacoma Pride – as Points of Pride.
In an effort to continue to keep our community safe, Pride will be a virtual parade that will highlight our resilience as a community and the spirit of Pride as well as the businesses and organizations that honor Pride in Tacoma. Seattle Pride is a local favorite, boasting the title of being the largest fest of its kind in the United States and having been voted Best Local Event by Evening Magazine.
